and what will You offer them.

    remember that
    - they are around tax (so no Hill-Ajinca combo)
    - they would want a point guard. real point guard
    - they have many forwards wings included (no interest in Hill)
    - they want to stey competitive (so no Ajinca+Okafor+Miller plus extras)

I mean, staying competitive would imply they were competitive in the first place, and they're not.

    Otherwise, I see your point.

Can't we take back 175% of what we send out? If That's ~$10.5 million. So E'twaun, E. Okafor, and a first works. The first round pick would have to be at least lottery protected and I would even prefer it to be protected to 18 or 20. I'm hesitant since Dragic has a player option at the end of this season and could opt out and leave us without E'twaun and potentially no first next season. Also, you can throw in a combination of small contracts, doesn't have to be Okafor. Depending on how Payton plays, he could be a trade chip. He could fill the PG position for the Heat.

We can take back 125% not 175%.

I’d say no. Wait till the trade deadline and get someone like butler or kleonard. Someone should be selling a SF and if I’m giving up a first, that’s what I want.

this 175%+100k is visible in uneven trades in trade machine.

    For contracts under 6.5m it's 175% + 100k.

I thought Dragic was making 20m this season which would have put him in the 125% category. However he is only making 18m so the actual trade amount that could be taken back is his cap hit plus 5m. Keep in mind if the total trade of outgoing players crosses 19.6m then it's back to 125%. Most of our trades for Dragic would probably end up over 19.6m since Miami will want to send more than just Dragic back.

Question 86 of the CBA FAQ explains this.
