I am not sure he is worth $5 million a year any more. Jordan overpaying.

You basically just described Rondo when talking about both players. But he had good BBal IQ and leadership. Anyways I wouldn’t mind Melo because that team was a bad fit for him. He would still be an upgrade here but I would rather us pursue some of the other options I’m sure we are after. I don’t see anyway Melo comes here anyway when there will be a spot for him on the Rockets and Lakers. If I was gonna bet on where he lands it’s the Lakers because of his friendship with LeBron and his wife who loves her some Hollywood.
Me 2!! What I hate is they even bring this crap up planting a little seed in his head. Players are human and when things go wrong where they face a little adversity they start thinking how good it could be in LA or wherever. I think AD wants that $ first and will worry about going to a team to win near the end of his next deal with likes 2 years left. AD is still very young and can set himself up for life while still be plenty young enough to ring chase if he can’t get it done. I really think we have a nice window to build our team and be in a great position to win big in 2 years. If we can’t satisfy AD as he enters the last years of his next deal then I don’t blame him for wanting to leave. We will be in a position to make a nice trade that works for both parties.
Would love to do a sign-and-trade for David Nwaba.
Damian Lillard instantly makes this team the 2nd best in the NBA. A backcourt with Lillard and Jrue would be incredible!! I doubt it’s possible but I would be moving anyone and everyone not named AD/Jrue to try and get him. Maybe some 3rd teams to get as many draft picks as possible to throw at them. I just don’t see us being able to offer close to what teams like the Lakers and many others could. I’m really hoping the Lakers don’t get him cause they would vault to another level. Interesting he wants to play with AD which actually gives us a ******** at him when he hits FA.
