Playoffs Western Playoffs Round 2 - New Orleans Pelicans @ Golden State Warriors- Game Two

    Okay.

    Take 2.

We all know how game one went. We came out rusty, the defense wasn't as sharp as we've seen it over the past 10 games or so, shots weren't going down, and although the officiating put the nail in the coffin, we didn't exactly help ourselves.

We've taken their best shot, and we've seen the strangest lineup we're likely to see the whole series. We've had a game now to get used to the Golden State home crowd and the vibe in the arena, and we've had a chance to shake out some of those inevitable nerves. Here's where the series really starts for me: we need Jrue to come out aggressive and try to get matched up with Curry on offense as much as possible: if Jrue can just drive through Curry again and again and again, that should be beneficial for consistent scoring. We all know that Steph can shoot, but he's not much of a defender.

If AD gets hot from range, then we all understand that's what he should do, but in game one he seemed to be settling a little (particularly through the second quarter, which is where most of the trouble happened). He needs to be aggressive, attack, and understand that he has the speed/touch to get by basically everyone they have. He is unguardable, so he should act like it.

We do that, and get the performance we've come to expect from playoff Rondo, plus 15+ points from Mirotic? We can easily head home with a 1-1 series on our hands.

    Let's go guy! Revenge!
    Basketball.

We have to get open looks from outside and hit them early for AD to have space.

Rebounding will be key. They dominated the glass in the last game when we had Niko on KD.

As always, the game will be largely effected by how much the refs let Draymond get away with on AD. We have to be allowed to get Green in foul trouble. He is the glue to their offense.

For sure. The worst missed call in the whole game was that full court pass from Rondo in the first quarter where Green basically bear hugged AD and then shoved him out of bounds. After that went uncalled, the Warriors basically knew they could do what they wanted with no repercussion. Can't have that.

    This 100Xs.

Our threes weren't falling but AD was feasting inside. In the second quarter, GSW adjusted to leave us open on the outside and to pack the paint and we never capitalized. We have to hit our threes for the paint to open up.

The team needs to play tough . The goal should be to keep the game close...Within 10 points at the start of the 4th quarter . Keep it close and we could steal it in the 4th
Dell Demps PLEASE get us some scorers!

Rondo just needs to take that shot. AD taking 3s this early is seldom good. Run offense! Actually run offense!

I remember saying I wanted to see that at times before the series. KD has always been most disturbed by shorter, sturdy guys with length and quick hands.

On that last play, Davis got bodily shoved out of the way and then Mirotic got pulled down to the floor, and no call.

Glad to see some things never change.

Every single play. Inside, every play. Drive and kick is a classic for a reason, Rondo and Jrue can do it, the shooting needs to exist to facilitate drives, rather than just for its own sake.

AD needs to play a little stronger. He’s getting foul but he needs to play through it

watch green on defense, his hands always going down on the drive which should be automatic foul. He is creating the contact. As expected no call but on the opposite end touch foul calls. NBA at its finest.

Exactly. If they're not gonna call it, fine, but then don't call Rondo for that pretty much clean slap-down on the ball just now.
