Why didn't we cut James or Cooke from their 2 way and put Liggins on one?

It's plain for anyone to see Liggins offered far more than either of these guys. The fact that we waived Jones and put James to a two way earlier in the season indicates that it's not difficult to cut these sorts of players and move them around. I'm pretty sure the two way guys don't count towards the cap either.

Maybe there's some rule I'm missing?

I think we are past the deadline to sign players to 2-way contracts this year.

This would also be Liggins 5th year of NBA service, so he would not be eligible for a 2-way contract. See point 21. http://gleague.nba.com/faq/

I just meant to a 2 way spot but as BFF pointed out, he's too experienced to be eligible for a 2 way contract.

Guys Liggins has been in the league too long to be eligible for a 2 way.
