If his original 6-8 weeks out still holds true, then that should have him back within the next 3-4 weeks. He would help for sure, but would you give up a 1st for him? Not seeing any other way to trade for him with matching salary. And his big salary causes the same issue of having too much money tied up in the C position, when they need help at other positions, too. Makes a lot more sense to sign a guy like Monroe, Bogut, Frye once they're waived, or for a C on a more reasonable salary like Dedmon or O'Quinn, while leaving room to fill the other holes in the roster.

Told my wife about this. Then she tells me she would die if the Pels got Blake, and she would definitely be on board with getting season tickets if that happened. Lol goodness.

Sounds like they are blowing it up, Patrick Beverly as the Rondo replacement this summer? Get it done Demps(I.E. don't blow our assets on some patchwork fix for this season)

Very few that fit better. Knock down shooter that plays well in an up tempo system and would be a nightmare opposite Jrue defensively. Can share the facilitation duties so Jrue can continue being that combo guard he is currently thriving in.

Would also allow you to play Hill at the three without concerns for spacing.

Beverly, Jrue, Hill, Davis, Cousins. That is a pretty nightmarish group to go up against for any team in a 7 game series.

    Harris, Bradley, Stanley
    ..for
    Griffin

The last thing we need is another 6’3 combo guard.

They couldn't do this trade before yesterday?!?! Jerks.

If we can only get Evan Fournier we would be set. Or Rodney Hood which would be better. I’ll give up a first for them.

One silver lining is that Pistons were rumored to be one of the main teams interested in Fournier. With them trading their pick, that becomes a lot less likely now, so Pels might be top suitors to trade for him.

I thought the same thing...Griffin went off late to seal the deal for nothing...
