So Lance signed a contract with the Hornets (3/$27m). That contract would be in its finals year this year. Does him having a contract with the Pacers mean that he is still double dipping on his Hornets contract?

If I remember correctly he had a lot of non guranteed money or there was something interesting with how his deal was structured.

That said, assuming he was bought out, whatever his buyout amount is, his new contract would count against whatever the Hornets are paying him. That's why so many bought out players sign for the minimum because it doesn't usually affect their money.

Granted, there's probably some nuisance to it I'm missing.
