I would guess more like 14-6 or 13-7 to start.

15 of 20 is lofty, that would be like a 60 win season!

    Pelicans 2017-18 Schedule

Our home games are brutal in October and November other than 2 or 3 easy ones. We need to win away since much easier opponents during that time.

    GS - L
    Cleveland - L
    Orlando - W
    Minnesota - W
    Clippers - W
    Hawks - W
    Raptors - 50/50
    Thunder - 50/50
    Spurs - 50/50
    Minesota - 50/50

    I am thinking 6-4.

I'm optimistic exactly because our games against the tougher opponents are at home. I'd much rather play the Warriors and Cavs in NOLA than on the road. Play good at home, and we could get off to a great start.

6-4 is not bad at all and I agree. We should be above .500 on the road too. If we go into December with a winning record watch out!

The early stretch may determine if we're going to be Elite or just a good playoff team. If we're going to be Elite we can't losr 4 out of 10 home games. No matter who the opponents.

After a quick look I'd guess we should be around .500 at the turn of the new year.
That'd be the best result in the last few years.

Nothing is definitely. Most of the teams are not finished yet. Many new pieces wont be fully integrated (like in Minny).
Last year Pels played 4 home games in first 6. Vs. Denver,GSW,Milwaukee and Phoenix. Even without Holiday they were definitely going to win 3.
Wait with expectation till the preseason..

I think we stomp Minnesota that first home game. They will only have a couple games to gel with all the new important pieces in their roster. They will be more fine tuned after playing together over a month in the second game at home. Also, my projection have us going 2-2 in that 50/50 stretch which means Minnesota could be one of those Ws.

Is the preseason schedule out? Last year they played Dallas in Shreveport, any chance they do again?

    Pelicans 2017-18 Schedule

So they play their last pre season game against the team they open up the regular season against just a couple of days later?

Looks like the lineup for that game will be Clark, Moore, Qpon/Miller, Diallo/Miller, and Asik/Ajinca. We can't show them any starters!! lol

When was the last time this team lost to Cleveland at home? Last year I do believe they beat them with no AD.

Which could happen especially if kyrie leaves, but I can't count that as a should win(I can't bet against Lebron). We have not lost to them since we were named the Hornets. So hoping we win that game!
