The C's get...lighter. Pels get a point guard in his prime to team up with their core 3. Worth keeping an eye on...
    lol, it works both ways.

But Paul George didn't go to the Lakers like he thought or any team we thought he was gonna go to. OKC came out of no where... so even if he pulls a PG and wants to come here Washington might go somewhere else with a better offer and whose to say that team he gets traded to doesn't become successful and he stays with that team

But him announcing he was leaving killed his trade value.
They only got Oladipo & Sabonis for him.

Had he not announced his intention, they could have received more.

If Wall does this, we could potentially just flip them a pick and a vet.

The difference being the Lakers had no reason to trade. They have the cap room and can just sign him outright next year.

If a trade for Wall was going to happen, it would be a substantial offer by us. The hope is all of our bench players ball out and increase their value enough to make it worthwhile.

If Frank Jackson is as good as I hope, him and Diallo might be enough. In a scenario where Wall says he wants to come here...

Oh and salaries matching weren't a thing.

Tbh I thought they did get more by Boston but something feel through or they were being greedy... I'm sure Boston's deal was better than OKC's deal

    Indeed.

Also, Boston may not have been offering as much as they reported.
Ainge is not known for giving up much to get what he wants.

If Frank Jackson even PLAYS on the main roster this season,
    I see it as huge!

From his scouting vids, he looks like Tyreke Evans with 3-pt shooting.

The PELICANS will very likely have a very good season. This is the best team Rondo has been on since the CELTICS. If Jrue and Rondo click we will be brutal. My biggest concern is that we won't have good 3 point shooting in the starting lineup. We have some reserves who are decent shooters, Miller, Crawford, Moore, and possibly Jackson.
No one in our starting 5 is a great high volume 3 point shooter.

I would have Hill shooting 3s and doing shooting drills all offseason. He needs a shooting specialist/trainer to help him perfect his 3 point shot. I think he could get up to .38 percent with the right training. I also would focus on shooting 3s with Holiday. Our starters have to hit 3s consistently. I'm hoping Demps can pull off another trade or pickup one more guy who can be a reserve SF who shoots 3s well and can play starter minutes. Cunningham might be just fine. IDK

Another thing is we need to be careful about running the team offense through AD. I would want AD to still have a huge role but I want him to be the guy who takes over the game when needed. We need our other players to be confident with or without Davis. We can go to him early and often but we need lots of scoring from the other players. We can win about 55 games IMO if we have a balanced attack and create matchup problems against teams in our division. A lot is a stake this year and I think this team could be really special. Screw the CELTICS. We are going to the playoffs and I predict we will get at least past the first round. AD will not be traded. I can't wait till we beat teams like the ROCKETS, SPURS, BOSTON, GSW, CAVS etc. watch. We are going to beat their butts. Lol

If you listened to The Bird Writes latest podcast, McMillan said he will be having Hill shoot thousands of threes

I disagree, the Lakers had 50+ million reasons to trade for him. Money talks and PG is paired with a Superstar in OKC now. OKC can offer way more money to stay than the Lakers can. Lakers banking on past success once again and could end up missing out.

That said, PG doesn't fit the Lakers timetable. He's gonna be 28/29 when he gets that deal... team is young, whats the point in a West that is already a cluster eff with talented teams.

I was thinking the same thing but hey if you have a chance at getting Paul George then you do it

I didn't hear the podcast. That's great news. If we improve 3 point shooting to a top 10-12 in the league and maintain solid defense I think we will be very difficult to beat.

Adding Rondo and Darius Miller, drafting Jackson and resigning Jrue is a pretty good offseason if you ask me. Adding Finch I probably a plus as well. If we are at .500 after about 20 games I will be concerned. We need to start strong and go about 16-4. I really like our bench right now. Add another role player to this team and I think we're set. We're still weak at SF imo. If Dante is resigned I'm happy with it. Have Dante step in at SF off the bench, Cook or Crawford at pg, Miller or Moore at sg and Diallo and Ajinca for Frontcourt. I think any of these guys can get minutes. If our reserves are very aggressive on offense and pay uptempo hitting threes I see us been awesome.

This was our biggest FA signing of the offseason.
This man will unlock our team's offense to incorporate Boogie (or should I call him "Boggie" since he in de swamp now?)
and take advantage of the BEST passing big man in the game.

Finch for offense and helping Boogie.
Erman for defense and helping Rondo.
Gentry & McMillan to integrate the personalities.

I'm hoping for a breakout year.

The thing is though that maybe it is not very likely it became possible now When comparing our situation to the one in January I say we are in a completely different world. Who would've thought that we could be even talking about it.

The fact that it's the best team for Rondo in quite a while is significant. Like you said there is a chance we might have a very solid backcourt. I really believe in Hill and I think he can be better for this team than people here think. I like his passing ability and unselfishness. But like you said a lot of depends on his three point shooting. I hope Solomon is in the gym taking hundreds of them right now
