Can a great/historic defense with an average offense break that trend? Or will we be in a situation where we don't have enough offense to stay afloat even with a top defense?


Especially, in the current landscape of the NBA where there is a clear bias towards offense from player value to officiating. Can their truly be an elite defensive team that can dominate the NBA again?

Yes. Dubs are great on defense too and that is what really separates them. I like what Rondo said - offense will be fine with this talent. Defense is how you beat the good teams.
