Pelicans 2017 summer league roster
The New Orleans Pelicans have announced its roster for the NBA Summer League 2017 in Las Vegas.
New Orleans begins NBA Summer League 2017 on July 7 with the league kick-off matchup against the Toronto Raptors, followed by games against the Atlanta Hawks on July 9 and the Brooklyn Nets on July 10 before beginning the single-elimination tournament. New Orleans’ matchups against Toronto and Atlanta will be broadcast live on NBA TV, while their third game against Brooklyn will air on ESPNU. All teams are guaranteed to play a minimum of five games. Teams will be seeded following the preliminary round, with the top eight seeds receiving a first-round bye.

That's actually got quite a few guys on it that I have pipe dreams will do well for us in the regular season so I'm kinda expecting a good summer league team.

I'm surprisingly more interested in this Summer League roster then most in the past.
Jackson, Cook, Young, Diallo, and Crawford should all be interesting to watch.
Don't think I will ever say this with such enthusiasm, but Pels Summer League can't get here soon enough!

I think Frank Jackson is gonna practice. But won't be actually playing.
This summer league team is one of the better ones in recent memory. Way better than last years horror show. I'm looking forward to watching Cheick Diallo, Jordan Crawford, Quinn Cook, Frank Jackson, James Young, Peter Jok, Isaiah Cousins, Jalen Jones, & Kaleb Tarczewski. This has to be one of the deeper teams we have had. It ought to be a fun watch!!

Jaleel is his brother, that's the only relation that I am aware of.
But why male models?
I'm excited to see this SL squad. Getting a player outside of Diallo to emerge and become a contributor to the team would be huge. Really excited to see what we can get out of Young who could be a solid end of the bench wing. Diallo dominating could heat up the trade market his way as a very valuable asset. Very excited to see if there has been improvement.
Calling it now.. Jordan Crawford will be SL MVP in a tight race with Diallo.
