"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin

    Makes sense, totally worth it.

Don't think this is cap related so good for them to spend Benson's money.

It's semantics, but a loss is a negative. This was a trade. And frankly, $800K for a first round player is a net gain.

(Would also change my current situation completely on its tail.)

If you break it all down the final tally on the maneuvering is:

Pels trade Tim Frazier, the #40 pick, and $800,000 for the #31 pick and $2 million in cap room.

Wait, I thought the Jackson pick happened in the 2nd round. How is he a first rounder?
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

The Thunder were talking about getting him with the 21st pick. And most people had him rated as a late 1st rounder. Besides. We traded to the top of the 2nd round. Far as I'm concerned, that's where the guys who slide thanks to teams reaching for someone fall.

Oh, okay. I thought he was a first rounder, but he was a second rounder.
