    Pelicans Pelicans UDFA signing thread

"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin

Jok was doing workouts for Pels last year. They liked him.

It is still not certain - is it two-way/undrafted free agent deal/summer league contract

but I am fine with him

PJ has reportedly agreed to a free agent deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. That would send @Dozier_Kid & @Sin_City_803 to L.A.

Go to Bleacher Report and you will several guys have already committed to teams as undrafted free agents. Simmons is not one of them at the moment.

I really liked Jok around last years draft - Iowa had a down year but he had some good games. Hope he sticks

I think you are talking about Robinson. He has signed, but I can not remember the team. I believe I found the information on twitter.

There is a disturbing lack of who is on our Summer League team.

The people, by which I mean me, demand to know!

If my recollection is correct this is an issue every year with the Pelicans (PR; information relay).

Our summer league team might be trash... may not even win a game. But I can't wait to watch them. Especially Peter Jok.

You figure that with the one draft pick unable to participate they will need to gather a rather large group of guys to form the team. But we will hear about it just before the league starts.

Is Diallo going to play in the summer league team ?

Absolutely no way that's what's happening.

We've signed people. Hell. WE wouldn't know about Peter Jok if he didn't post about it himself.

I can't wait to see Jok and Diallo in summer league. Along with Cooks that is a pretty good first 3 players. Jok in videos looks like a perfect spot up shooter for this team and if Diallo really progressed this summer then Cunningham is expendable. Not a very exciting draft but like the players we got.

I always thought Peter Jok reminded me of Anthony Morrow.

Just go to bleacherreport.com and click on nba and then draft. The article on undrafted players should be linked. Simmons has apparently signed or will sign with Memphis.

Damn Diallo? Shoot, he's the guy I'm wanting to see more than anyone on our real team, much less the summer league. He's such an intriguing player, with a freakishly high ceiling. I really hope we dont trade him. I expect a big rotation of AD, Boogie and Diallo to be by far the best in the league in 2-3 years. The best thing about Diallo is that he can be extremely effective with either of our star bigs, IMO.

That'd be great if he can grow into a similar player as Morrow. We added two great shooters yesterday, which we really needed. I'm encouraged by the fact that Dell is adding the young prospects to develop. We'll be able to develop even more young players, once we get our own G-League team. Fingers crossed that Shreveport gets the G-League team!
