Yeah. Axel Toupane.
Athletic, potential 3 and D guy.
It's officially the offseason now lol
I was digging for footage of this kid (before I saw your post) and I came across this same video. How in THE hell did this kid not get drafted? I can see him making the roster, and with him and Jordan Crawford out there we'll have a couple guys that can stretch the floor and give AD and Boogie room to do what they do.
He's also not a plus athlete. He barely dunks the ball and had like a 31 inch max vert.
But he tested very well in terms of quickness, so I think it all balances out. And his jumper is very quick, so he doesn't need much space to get a shot off. I hope he becomes something considerable. But who knows?
"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin
23 isn't old (hell, I am 35), but in terms of NBA draft prospects, the average age of yesterdays 1st round picks was 19.76, the avg. age of yesterdays draft picks was 20.48. So yes, 23 is certainly a factor in the draft picks as everyone is looking for potential.
