Oh wow, I hadn't even looked at their cap sheet until you brought it up. They would have to do some financial gymnastics to get there. I agree that it doesn't seem to make much (any) sense for them. But Cuban loves to go after those second tier guys in free agency for some reason.

I counted Dirk in addition to that because even if they decline his option, he'd have a cap hold which I can't imagine they'd renounce. And I'm assuming they make that QO for Nerlens.
