Turkey revoked Kanter's passport mid travel - Enes has been vocally critical of president, plus stability of the region and future of its open travel is unknown - not sure Asik's politics, but this could happen to him as well. NBA appears to be involved in negotiations.

As per what I've heard and read, Asik and Kanter don't share the same ideas at all. Or maybe they do but Asik is clever enough not to shout it the way Kanter did throughout last year's political incident in Turkey.

I'm not as sure on Asik, Kanter has been quite openly critical of the current Turkish regime and I believe supported the group behind the failed coup last year. Surely a risk he knew he was taking in travelling. Anyway glad to hear all has been sorted, he can return to serving the king of the prairie.
