N/P: Bird stepping down as Pacers president.

I know we lack assets but what would it take to get George?

If we keep the pick it might be doable.

I guess the better question would be what would be the minimum they would take for him?

My guess is 2 firsts and a player.

If we manage to keep the pick we still can't trade the 2018 because it would go the the Kings, correct?

Maybe a sign and trade for Jrue, 2018 and 2019 1sts? Probably still not enough to outbid other teams.

Anyone see any scenario where we could come up with the assets to get him?

Here's a crazy question, would you trade Cousins for George?

Well, atleast he was smart enough to not give Hill 12 million per year...

Then, our team came and signed him for 12 million per year. When you think your FO is a bunch of idiots. Atleast, they aren't the Pelicans... And those idiots have a 2 TOP NBA stars and we are already expecting to dog it out for a 8th seed next year. LOL . ******** organization. ******** Coach. ******** GM. ******** President.

I'm not sure which one? As far as could be told Bird and George have been feuding for years as Bird broke up PG's team, tried to force offense over defense and run n gun, and tried to push PG to play out of position as a PF. If anything Bird's departure might help Indy retain him.

Unless you wont have top3 pick you may forget about him.
Indy wont trade him for 2 of our mid/late first round picks .

Indiana is going to do everything in their power to keep PG-13 a Pacer. Step one in that futile attempt was pushing out Larry Bird. This move should in no way inspire hope in our fan base or any fan base that Indiana is blowing it up and George is available. In fact, it means just the opposite.

If Bird takes the same position with another NBA franchise, it's most likely going to be with the Magic.

I believe Bird is staying on with them as a consultant. From all accounts PG-13 is wanting lakers pretty strongly, so I wouldn't even be wasting my time dreaming about him.
