    My favorite quote, which may blow the minds of those who think Gentry doesn't adapt to the players ..... "We have a menu of plays that we try to run with both of those guys out there. We also have a menu of plays that we run when AD's out there. And we have another menu of plays when DeMarcus is out there," he said. "Because I think you can't be stubborn as a coach. You've got to try to look at the situation and see how you can best utilize the skill level of the group that's out there."

    Years back I remember watching Carolina play with Kenny Smith at the point, Michael Jordan on the wing and a bunch of guys who loved to run...except one, a lead-footed Brad Daugherty at center. Dean Smith solved the problem by creating something called "the secondary break"--which basically amounted to Daugherty trailing the play and if they didn't get the initial fast break points they'd kick it out to Brad as he chugged into the top of the key. He became deadly---deadly---hitting that 18-ft trailing jump shot. He feasted on it. And it was a big reason he grew into becoming the number one pick in the draft...
