Well dang. I guess that tells you what Casspi value is. We can probably still use our trade exception to sign him in the summer.
Rather gamble on a d league all star then sign Reggie again

I seriously hope they told him they wanted him next season and he is a priority.
Nothing can ever go our way smh.
Is it a ten day? Or for the rest of the season?

2017-2018 Finals MVP: Jrue Holiday
Casspi's bird rights had a good run
The Pelicans are in the process of signing Reggie Williams to a 10-day deal, according to league sources

Geez what a short sighted move. Does Willis bring anything that Hollis doesn't?
@DanielVeuleman
Thanks, I thought he did good for us earlier in the year. Hopeful he can step up.

Stein: "The Pelicans will sign Reggie Williams to a 10-day deal for the second time this season after newly acquired Omri Casspi suffered a broken thumb in his New Orleans debut, league sources tell ESPN. The Pels reluctantly made the decision to waive Casspi to create a roster spot, fearing that the minimum four weeks he'll miss to heal would leave them shorthanded on the wing as they try to secure the West's final playoff spot."
Wow! That's an interesting move. Two days after you bring out the welcome wagon you cut him. I hope they plan on resigning him this offseason. We need shooters!
3 guys on 10-day contracts, 2 from the d-league and 1 that hasn't played in a year. And we're going to need all three to be rotation players, lol. Oh well, it's all worth it.
Quincy Pondexter been hurt 2 straight years and we just concede that roster spot to the void but God forbid the possibility of keeping a players bird rights who has produced in the last year at a solid level.
None of these guys we sign can even play in the playoffs right? So seems rather dumb to not keep a wing player who could play if we made the playoffs in the first place.

Ridiculous move by Demps. Williams showed absolutely nothing when he was here and we give up a guy that could have a future with the team? Really? Buy out QP or Ajinca and be done with one of those dead weights.
I just don't understand why we haven't cut Q-Pon then. Cut Lance Stephenson and Casspi in a hot minute when they got hurt.
But Q-Pon gets to stay? Not even dissing Q-Pon, but what. Is he even able to shoot the ball? Does his knee have any cartilage at all left?
Typical Delly. Should've kept him. Wouldn't it be funny if Sacramento gets him back?
