Thread: Knicks attempting to trade Mello again? Maybe Rose?

  1. #1

Rumor Knicks attempting to trade Mello again? Maybe Rose?

I know Rose is damaged goods, and probably not happy in NY. Hopefully Dell stays away from this but what about Mello?

Jrue + 1st Round pick for Mello?

Or you think Mello is near the end of his career and we should pass?

Melo would be nice in concept, but the price is our future. So unfortunately, unless they took a low ball offer, no thanks.

If you can get Melo and keep Jrue, Buddy, AD and Donatas....you do it.

You probably can't and it's not worth it anyways. Melo is a definite no from me. He's a cancerous player, won't defend, won't pass.

Don't need him to defend just need those points from the sf position

It's not like you can tell him he's not first option either, his ego is too big. He would do his iso thing and would be ball stopper on offense.

Pretty sure I value Melo less than almost anyone on here but personally I don't think there's much difference between Melo and Gay but it doesn't matter. Melo may not be happy in NY but he has a no trade clause that he probably isn't waiving to go to Nola.

Have to agree. I would not mortgage the future for him. He will be 33 in a few months and has 2 more years for about $55 million after this season.

You just lost your posting privileges.

Not that old fart please. There are enough of ISO slow players. NYK coaches already expressed their dissatisfaction of how long Melo keeps the ball.

If all this team does is quote "Spurs ball movement" and then trades for a ball stopper like Melo then I am done.

That's pretty much where I'm at.

The idea of Melo is nice to. Think about paired with AD and maybe 3-4 years ago I'd jump on the chance but his numbers are on decline, he's a ton of drama, and too old.

I'd pass unless we got him on the cheap.

My thoughts exactly. No thanks! I'm good! He's the new Big Dog Glenn Robinson.

Ryno shooting 41% from three? That seems a bit high. 5/14 alone tonight

Look at Gordon's stats though he did sit out for the first time last night.

I still say that the Clippers are pretty much the only team that could make it work with him. Simply because of how much he supposedly respects CP3.

But I think that possibility is long gone.

I am not actually sure where he would fit in.

Melo has a veto power for any trades and a trade kicker (of 15%).
so when traded he will get additional 15% of remaining contract value.

theoretically it is a good idea
but killing your future for 33 year old.

    No thank you...

And Rose who seeks max (hahahahahahahahaha). double thank you

The only guy I'd like from the Knicks (not named Kristaps) is Willie Hernangomez.

    Big upisde with that boy

The problem isn't Melo's age by itself though.

It'd be stupid to turn down LeBron, just a year younger.
