Hi. New Poster. Frustrating season but I do not blame Dell Demps or Alvin Gentry

Hello fellow Pelicans fans. This is my first post. I just wanted to say that it has was a frustrating, disappointing season but I do not blame Dell Demps or Alvin Gentry. I believe with all the injuries and some of them seemed like mystery injuries that it would be unfair to blame Dell and Alvin. Give them this offseason to make the adjustments and sure you will see change for the better in the future. I think we will do very well in the lottery and bring in some good free agents to give Davis help. Knee jerk reactions and firings would just send us further downward. Just look at Sacramento and the Knicks for example. Anyway this is my first post and I look forward to posting more often! Go Pels!

Completely agree! Don't let the dooms day preppers scare you away. If this team was healthy nobody has anything to say. Only thing that changed is we now have a high draft pick which will only help towards where we are going. We were always planning on upgrading Gordon when he expired and putting the finishing touches on our team going forward. This season was a blessing in disguise allowing us to find guys like Frazier/BDJ/Ennis along with a much higher pick. Future is bright and some people just can't handle that being with Dell so they want to see someone else sign that FA and draft pick to get the credit when something good happens.

Monty Williams was fired last season after the NFL Draft concluded.
Not saying that it will happen this year - but it is worth noticing...

I am fine with Loomis somewhat over seeing both. I think he has given Dell more control hiring the coach he wants and improving this team with Gordon expiring. He has basically put Ireland in control as GM while Loomis makes the final decisions on draft picks and FA signings while also managing the cap. Ireland isn't completely in the GM role but he has taken a lot of the duties away which is a good thing. If we were to hire someone to take Loomis spot for the Pelicans I actually wouldn't mind Dumars in that position. If Dumars and Dell could have a good working relationship it could benefit our team.
