Just a thread to know what we generally will be satisfied with next year
Mine
- 54+ wins
- 64+ games from jrue
- Davis stays healthy
- competitive in the first round. Get 6th or 7th seed
- Davis continues progression. Puts us more on the map
- top 5 offense in the league. Top 12 defense
- go to 6 or 7 games in the first round
- Davis averages 26+ to win mvp
- Reasonable health
- 48 wins
- Top 10 offense
- Middle of the pack defense (17th would be fine)
- Make the playoffs and have the first round opponent sweat it out
- Improvement by everyone on the team

Nope. We had poor health again, 45 wins, we did have a top 10 offense (#9) but had the 22nd ranked defense and didn't even take a game off the Warriors.
I would want 52+ wins, top 5 offense, average defense, and 6 or 7 seed in the West. This is my baseline for what I would be satisfied with, but I think we can do much better.
They need to challenge the top teams in the West. Last year the 2 and 7 seed were separated by virtually nothing so I don't want to put a seed number on it. But last year was all about getting to the playoffs and getting that experience. They have to take the next logical step now. They need to compete with the Rockets, Grizzlies, and Clippers as equals. Last year we knew what was going to happen in the playoff series, and the Pels were obviously outmatched. That can't be the case next year.

This is right around where I'm at. People seem to be buying into the hype and are setting their expectations really high.
Like. Are people really going to be upset if we hit 50 wins but not 54?

I don't care if we win 65 games, if we don't get past the first round I will certainly NOT be satisfied.
Now, depending on how things unfold, and how the future looks, and how we exit the playoffs (hard fought series) I may be "understanding" with a solid first round showing,
but not satisfied.

Yes. I think guys here are traumatized from dark days here, where optimism has to be at a minimum. As a Pels fan im ready to go into THAT stage where we can start becoming braggadocios and have some real pride about our team potential. Everyone is buying in, in their best shapes of their lives working their arse off, and has a taste of the postseason and is thirsty for more. With more energy, more passion, more fun, and more excitement i think the players are ecstatic to make a statement with the new coaching system and against the league. AD is in that zone where he wants to be the best, its over for the rest of the league.

So if one of those things doesn't happen then you won't be satisfied? Cause I'd definitely take the bet that not all of that happens, as nice as it'd be.
I will keep it very simple, since we fired our coaching staff and kept our core intact I expect drastic improvement. I mean if it's only for a 2 or 3 wins improvement we should have kept the former coaching staff, we would have the same result without the whole drama around it.

Thinking about it again, I'll be satisfied with 53 wins. I can't expect us to come out showing what we can do, I think it will take time for our players to adjust. I expect us to finish 27-14 in the second half of the season though
Good thing is, looking at the schedule, the games we need to adjust are games against teams we might not beat otherwise, so it might be a game not won instead of a game lost if that makes sense (in football/soccer terms, 1 point earned instead of 2 points lost)

So the question asked is about satisfaction and not what I want to happen. So I will be satisfied with the following:
48 wins
less than 5 losses to bottom feeding tanking teams
A sizable win streak and not win 1 loose 1 so players gain confidence
Health for all our players (no injury that has any player out more than 3 weeks for a full recovery)
Ryno to give shock and awe to the league (17ppg with lights out shooting)
AD to be a respectable 3 point threat
Better defense than last year
A respectable playoff experience
To answer a question that might get asked, would I be unsatisfied if all of this didn't happen? Yes. Not pissed but I would definitely be mentioning it if any of these things don't happen.
I think if all that comes true we can easily expect more than 48 wins
I would personally love it if Little Debbie brought back Coconut Rounds.
