Of course AD's agent is happy. At between 1-4% on a $145m contract he just made between $1.45m- $5.8m.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I would be very surprised if AD doesn't make close to $ million in contracts before it is all said and done. From endorsements and contracts hill will most likely have made over a billion dollars and that is just insane!

Did anybody think that this is the best signing we have had in Pelicans or Nola basketball history? That's pretty awesome to think what just happened for this team. If any player in basketball history could break the mold and actually be good enough to play out the contract and even test FA with a couple other exceptions. I never thought he would really do it but there always was that little uncertainty that you didn't even want to say out loud it's actually possible haha. Great time to be a Pelicans fan. This should help ease a little of the sting having to wait another year for a big player if nothing major happens this FA period.

Love AD. Can't commit anymore than this to a team and city.

Now the real race begins....Championship or close in 4 years or the dream likely dies. I am optimistic but it is going to take a bit of luck, some good GM'ing and some great coaching.

AD is enough to get us to the playoffs and maybe win a couple series but we need everyone else to put the pieces in place to help with the rest.

We'll have plenty enough cap space in '16-'17 when Gordon comes off the books and cap goes up over 80 mil.

Did the math based on an 89 mil projected cap next year. His deal should break down like this

    Rough numbers for AD's contract

    Year 1: 24.9 mil
    2: 26.77
    3: 28.78
    4: 30.93
    5 (Player Option): 33.25 mil

But why'd he get a player option? He wants to leave a year sooner! He hates...

Y'know what? I ain't even gonna finish this.

Glad AD is with us. Let's get healthy and get some Ws.

I have some confusion on max deals. What's the difference between AD's, Lillard's, and Leonard's max deals? They are all referred to as max deals, all for 5 years, but Davis's is worth $145 million, Lilliard's is $120 million, and Leonard's is $90. How are we able to offer so much more to AD?
