2015 NBA Draft thread

This will shape into one of the more exciting and interesting drafts in recent memory. Look for a lot of player movement and draft day deals. Although none will be finalized until July 1. Its about that time to find out if dealer Dell has something up his sleeve or if we go the continuity route. Either way we are in good shape and have a bright future. I am predicting we make at least one move besides drafting in the second round. You can believe Dell is exploring every option possible.

This is the first time (to my recollection) since Howard and Okafor in 04' where the #1 pick could go either way. Every draft since then (Maybe the Bennet draft being the exception) that #1 pick had two guys who could lay claim to. The Bennet draft, you or I could have been the first overall pick ( the talent was that bad).

FYI based on timing of last year's draft, the #Pelicans 56th pick will occur at approx. 10:57 p.m. Central. The No. 1 pick was 6:41 p.m. CT

Just remember, when the league zigs, Demps zags. If everyone is looking to get into the first round we are SOL, but if everyone is looking to get out of the 1st round...well, that's where you will find Del working a phone to get in.

My point is that there could be more trades than last year, making teams take the full amount allotted for making their selection and elongating the draft time frame.

How so? Picks are not traded. Players are still selected within the time limits.

Yes but teams do not always take all of the time to make the pick.
Trades could make them rethink their pick and have to take the full amount of time.

I don't follow draftee much, is there any adv to get that NYK #4? Say a combination of Evans/Jrue/EG/RA/Q for #4, Calderon?
