Is this thread what we would do or what we think will happen?

    People understand the difference, right?

So you think JVG would be likely to bring Asik back? That was my thought as well.

Yes. It would be hard for me to imagine how Holberg uses him. Gentry as well

    Jrue
    Tyreke
    Carrol
    Davis
    Asik

    Thibs

The lineup splits ball handling duty between jrue and tyreke 50/50.

    Holiday
    Gordon
    Pondexter
    Davis
    Asik

(Anderson and Tyreke are first two (2) off the bench)

    Thibs

I think we stand pretty much pat until we see what we can do with Gordon.

What about Carroll? How does he come into play?

Carroll is in non-stop motion in Atlanta. Always moving off the ball and can shoot. Gentry or Hoiberg would love that guy. Both guys want to push the pace and run.

Thompson is a more complete player and a better fit. He adds athleticism and versatility to the front. RA'S skills are better suited with Sacramento. Anderson can play the stretch four position because of Cousins. The Pels don't have that luxury. It's difficult to play RA where he excels given the Pels present roster. He played lots of minutes as a center last season. You can't have Anderson as your last line of defense. I doubt you can get much for Anderson.

I'm expecting the Pels to name a coach in the next 5 days.

My guess would be that all parties want to have resolution sooner rather than later.

If Hoiberg is Dell's preferred choice, I think his "crap or get off the pot" date has to be soon approaching. Pels applying pressure to Hoiberg to make a decision, and Hoiberg applying pressure to Chicago to make a decision, should all start to come to a head quickly, if that's what's going on.

JVG has a week off and is pretty media savvy. I think if he's the choice, it makes sense to do it now and let him make the media rounds before the finals.

At this point, Dell should be able to have all his interviews wrapped up, and if he wants to have the best possible assistant coaching staff he's going to want to secure those guys before new coaches in Denver, Orlando, and Chicago get a crack at scooping them up.

    Just my 2 cents.

I think the favorite is JVG if they can secure commitments from top level assistants especially on the offensive end.

Has there even been any indication that the Pels are interested in or have approached Hoiberg?

I haven't seen anything from any official source indicating the Pelicans have prodded Hoiberg at all. At this point, I think it's wishful thinking from fans. MM would be the only person here who might be in position to know.

JH, EG, Carroll, AD, Chandler. Bench - Reke, Qpon, Cole, Dante, NENE I think we find a way to move Ra for NENE

They give it to Coach JVG if he wants it, if not, Thibs gets it, although I like S Miller.

    Just thinking...

    Jrue
    Gordon
    Thaddeus
    Davis
    Lopez

Now, i mean the Lopez noone here wants including me.
But he can score in the low post plus we will spell him w Ajincia

But most of the time we can go small and kill it

    Jrue
    Gordon
    Gerald Green
    Thad Young
    Davis

  18. #43
    Jrue
    Gordon
DeMarre Carroll (acquired in trade for Anderson)
    There can be only one
    Asik

    First three off the bench
    Tyreke
    Pondexter
    Cole

I think JVG takes the reins

    Jrue
Butler (sign and trade Gordon because he doesn't want to play with rose or without Thib's)
    Qpon
    Davis
Cousin (3 way trade with Denver, Sac gets Lawson and Faried, Denver gets Reke, Ryno, and a first, we get cousins and fillers)
    Coach Miller

    What will happen
    Jrue
    Gordon
    Reke
    Davis
    Asik
    Thib's

What do you think we could do to acquire him? Ryno and more?

Ideal size, not ideal skill set.

With Tyreke at the two and Crowder at the 3 our spacing will be much worse than it is when we have EG and QPon on the wings.

    Jrue
    EG
    Q-Pon
    AD
    Deandre Jordan

    Coach Gentry

I think opening day starting line-up will be:
    PG - Tyreke Evans
    SG - Eric Gordon
    SF - Quincy Pondexter
    PF - Anthony Davis
    C - Omar Asik
    HC - JVG

With Reke, Cole, and Ryno off the bench. However, I think Gordon may get dealt for more pieces like another wing and center during the trade deadline.
