"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin
Well I spoke too soon on the other post. Hopefully this fixes the problem.
What if I told you that he had a stress fracture. Would that change your opinion on keeping him around any longer than planned (I am for keeping him as long as possible, just want to feel out the room)?
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
I asked the Pelicans who actually pays for player surgeries — the team? Medical insurance? Team says “those details are not disclosed."

Was he supposed to have it removed? Lol is this good or bad news?
Didn't Durant have to have the same thing done on his foot because the screw was causing an issue?
It's a good thing since it means this might be the source of the issues for him.
FWIW as I said on here a while back, someone over twitter who said they were at a Demps chalk talk said the team believes the screws in Holiday's leg was causing a bad bodily reaction.
I hope that's the case, and hey it makes sense since MRIs never showed any new fractures.
Yes he definitely said this in his "end of season interview".

A healthy Holiday to go with AD will help us get 50 plus wins. I'm already excited for next year. We have to get better on transition defense and we need to focus on getting players who truly play defense.
Good news, I broke my wrist last year. Been having a lot of pain in it. Dr. removed the plate and screws. No more pain.
So I'm assuming the pain was from the screw,
but they couldn't remove the screw until everything was fully healed?
Jrue soon at 100%?
Won't removing the screws make it fragile longterm?
