    Nobody wants to say it....

But if AD makes BOTH free throws we win that game. Yeah we collapsed in the 4th but with everything bad that happened in that quarter... if AD doesn't split the FTs we win.

    Now back to roasting Monty.

eh, easy to blame a single factor. how about EG or Reke hit more than 2-12 @ 3P. We got more from AD than EG Asik and Quincy combined. our bench came to play today thankfully.

Can't predict who is hot or playing worth a crap after wasting 6 shoots, unfortunately

Once again last night it looked like a few of the players were gassed in the fourth. Shots that barely reach the rim, no spring in their shot, off balance when driving, etc.

And Reke went into that typical play-not-to-lose mode. Slow it down, dribble away the clock, and then ISO. When the shots don't fall, he starts doing more hero ball, the offense stops moving, and we're done.

Seriously... we lost that game because we couldn't rebound worth a damm in the 4th. We got stops... we just couldn't get rebounds. Whether it was the lineups we had out there... or our dudes being gassed... or GS just wanting it more than we did... we just couldn't get rebounds.

Well that and that dude named Steph Curry. Best shooter I've ever seen. PERIOD. I've seen alot of great spot-up shooter s but this dude makes contested shots look like free throws.

The GSW needs to be careful as this goes on. The play as hard as you need to attitude might bite them.

In the previous timeout leading up to the play, Williams instructed the Pelicans to foul immediately while they were up by three points, thereby preventing any Hail Mary trifecta from having a chance to send the game into overtime. But that never happened.

"We didn't execute the game plan," Williams said as he shook his head on the postgame podium. "We were supposed to foul."

The players owned up to that fact after the game.

"I'm not going to call anybody out, but we definitely did not execute," point guard Norris Cole said. "We did not execute what we said we were going to do. And it cost us."

Either the young Pelicans didn't listen to their coach or the 43-year-old coach didn't reach his players. Neither is a good look for a franchise that desperately wants to prove it belongs with the big boys of the Western Conference.

If Holiday isn't on a minutes restriction we win last night, probably the game before too. Does that magically make Monty a better coach? No it doesn't, it just prevents us from seeing failed execution in critical situations.

I am willing to put blame on AD, but how much? Not nearly as much as this thread would desire. The guy (Cole, Ryno, and Reke) carried us, and then everyone else came and went as they pleased with no significant impact.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

How about the crowd waits for him to hit the free throws before chanting MVP. They put un needed pressure on the kid in that situation.

If we foul ANYBODY (even Curry or Thompson) within the 3 point line before those game tying shot attempts, we win. Pels would have still been up by 1 and all they had to do is bring the ball in. GS would foul and even if they missed their FTs it would probably have taken a full court shot to win the game since GS had no TOs left.

    Now it's the crowd's fault!

    We don't necessarily.

We're up 4, GSW run 1000 screens for Curry, he gets open and hits the three.

    We're up by 1.

We go back to the FT line.

    Rinse and repeat.

It comes down to fouling before Curry or Klay can get a shot off.

And we failed miserably in the easiest thing ever.

As soon as GS started making a run the crowd sat on their hands and went into full "Woe is me" mode.
