    Pelicans OKC or YHT?

    I noticed through the archives that OKC was once called Y.H.T. I did not get it till I this guy came on my screen.



    This is why we need to win this one! This makes me want to pukkkkeeeeeeeeeeeee. WE ARE GOING TO WIN THIS GAME TOMORROW AND SEND OKC BACK WHERE THEY BELONG! SCREW THE DAMN MAYOR OF THAT CITY TOO. MITCH WOULD KICK HIS BUTT. THEIR POLICE OFFICERS ARE SHOOTING INNOCENT PEOPLE. We are the new Americas team. We are the the New Orleans Pelicans AND WE WILL WIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT. AMEN

    Oof. That video still hurts. I get why they didn't want to leave those crowds behind... But cmon, man. Don't abandon your city.

    Making the playoffs over OKC doesn't fix any of that... but it wouldn't hurt. Geaux Pels.

    I CAN'T SLEEP NOW. I need a good nights rest like the team. I'll go make some coffee. Hopefully that works.

    As in "Your Home Town Hornets!" as the team was referred to at the Ford Center during their two year evacuation from NOLA after Katrina.

    Clear attempt to pander to the YHT crowd who quickly assumed they had the right to loot our basketball team while we were still underwater.
    A football game can't stop hurricanes.

    It can't fix levees.

    Or rebuild houses.

    But it can let a city know...

    That it's a city once again.

    In thT entire video, the only thing I thought about was, how would our fortunes have been different if we kept JR. Then I remembered we needed to trade JR to acquire Tyson. Then I thought, man we would have been good if Monty had CP3, West, and Chandler, but then I thought, well then we wouldn't get AD.

    In the end, I am really happy Jr->Tyson->Emeka->Bad Season->AD.

    I don't guess George Shinn will congratulate us like he did to OKC/YHT several years ago. Did Chad Shinn ever find a real job?
