Our back-up guard situation was a rotating morass of awful: Rivers (miss you buddy! ), Russ Smith, Mekel, Elliott Williams, and Nate Wolters.
Cole and Douglas, two players nearly no-one wants, have been revelations of competence in comparison to what we had.
WAFFLE FRIES! Oh wait.
It's Sunday.

I'm really loving these Minnesota announcers today. They wish the Wolves had the level of talent we have.
Minny announcers give good stats/analysis. Add the unbiased commentary and I'm a fan.

"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin
Feel bad for Withey. He should have gotten some pull in this game.
Dell has proven time and time again he can find the right but role players that no one wants that fit into our team. We just need the stars to be here. I'm a big fan of AA, Cole, and Q Pon. I just wonder what roles they have when we are healthy? I'm thinking Cole comes in possibly in crunch time to pair with holiday for defense in addition to being the second guard off the bench. AA comes in when we need a boost offensively, and I see Q Pon as a starter.
i was sitting about 2 seats from Flip tonight, and listened to him complaining to the refs all night. The main thing that jumped out at me was Budinger's body language. He was sulking, rolling his eyes in the huddle, shaking his head, acting completely despondent, and i heard him say "what the hell are we doing?". Didn't feel a whole lot of warm & fuzzy camaraderie from any of them on that bench.
