Pelicans AD... yeah he's clutch... in fact he's the NBA's most clutch player right now

"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin

Eric Gordon also the most clutch player from deep this season... so naturally Tyreke takes the bulk of the shots late

To be fair our last offensive play last night was an ISO for Gordon. I think Monty recognizes late game Tyreke and is trying to get the ball out of his hands.

    At least that's my hope.

    No, his teammates aren't passers.

his assist numbers have come up... but he still has those critical WTF "blinder" moments that end up really hurting

like trying to go on a 1-on-3 fast break lay-up that gets blocked and turns into an easy bucket the other way when he really needed to pull back and set the offense (reminder: that scenario is from the Nuggets game)

He did that last night too. Drove into the paint with a circus shot over a defense waiting and expecting and it led to points the other way.

that shot is the reason we're the 8 seed currently and the Thunder aren't

ok that may not be completely true... but it kept us from having to look further than line #1 in the NBA's tiebreak procedures... the 1 that reads "record in head-to-head match-ups"
