    Jrue and Cole backcourt

Assuming we resign Norris Cole (or even if Jrue returns at the end of the season) what is the thought of the potential defensive impact of a Jrue Holiday and Norris Cole backcourt. Not saying we should start those two, just run some two guard lineups in spurts.

I'll go a step further and talk about how I love the 3 guard lineup potential of Cole, Holiday, and Evans. Can really get some tempo with those guys. Swing the ball in the half court. And on defense, can really pressure the ball and jump passing lanes.

The Goat would be a serious 6th man and pass the ball efficiently with that 2nd unit if so...

Dell and Monty love have good guards. And one day the injuries will stop and we will get to see that work for them.

I can see them playing together in some games but I like the idea of Jrue controlling the game with the 1st unit and Cole controlling the game with the 2nd unit.

What are the chances he is still in NOLA next season?
I think some other team bids higher than the 3.037M for him don't you?

I agree with this. I see the lineup of Jrue Cole and Evans would depend on matchup and would not happen often. I am going to love to see the tempo being pushed by Cole in the 2nd unit. I think we get some of what we wanted in Austin Rivers from Cole. Defense, passing, aggressiveness, confidence, can knock down the open 3. Demps did well with this trade.

No chance he gets a bigger offer if we give him the QO in my opinion. If we extend him the QO, I would say 99.99999% chance he is here next season. So, what are the odds Dell extends the QO to him? I would say 95%. Only way he doesn't? If Gordon opts out. Then, Dell will want full flexibility. If Gordon opts in, we have no cap room, so Dell will just keep everyone and use the MLE in my opinion.

    So basically we will have:

    Holiday/Cole
    Gordon/Evans
    MLE/Q-Pon
    Davis/Anderson
    Asik/RE

The team looks good on paper but I don't think it will go deep in the playoffs even if we stay healthy.
No idea who we get with the MLE and RE.

I like DC and Q-Pon but they are back ups at best.

Let's plug in Jared Dudley and Ajinca into those spots. I think that is a fine team if healthy. Plus you have some big expiring contracts and future 1st rd picks to make a move. You can always move Tyreke if you get a good offer, and the biggest thing - Ryno has a whole summer to get right and he comes back like the old Ryno. Oh, and no summer ball for Asik, so he comes back fresher than he has been this year.

That's the optimists view at least

Yeah I hope that the core stays as is and we add 1 or 2 guy's the most next season to the current core.
Other than injuries I think cohesion is the biggest problem facing this team in the past.

EDIT: what the % any of these guy’s return in 2016/17?

    Cunningham
    Withey
    Babbitt
    Hamilton
    Fredette

    Hamilton - 10
    Fredette - 0%

I could see him playing elsewhere where he is isn't the 4th big.

I say 50/50. If we want him, we have early bird rights. We can pay him more than others will. I just don't know how bad we want him back.

Other thing we gotta talk about - Who are we taking with that 58th pick???!!!
