Why would the Knicks trade away Tim Hardaway Jr for Dragic? They really do not care about their future? That are Gm's i fear that the Pels may get when Dell is gone.....

Hardaway is an overrated asset, just as Shumpert was a few years ago.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

Knicks are looking to get stronger now, not in the future.
Their top player is 30 and just signed a $100M+ contract.

I think Hardaway could be a great piece in the right situation.

I'm not bashing Hardaway, but the perception that Hardaway is the "future" of the Knicks organization. To me, that's conveys him as a franchise player. I don't think he will ever be close to that valuable, which is why I have no problem in dangling him as a potential piece in acquiring Dragic.

Tell me about it. Every young guy with "upside" is borderline untradeable according to some. Heck, I saw that the Lakers are not willing to trade Jordan Clarkson.

Eventually prospects become full fledged players and most NBA players aren't needle movers. Tim Hardaway likely won't be a needle mover either. Just like Shumpert before him. You would make that move 100 out of 100 times because it isn't hard to find the next solid role player (Hardaway) but it is really difficult to get needle movers (Dragic)

Oh I agree with you. He's a very good player, but magnified into something larger.
    Because.....New York.

I'm curious as to what Denver gets out of McGee trade.....
other than being taken more seriously.

McGee is way overpaid, This is just a salary dump.

Also curious as to why Philly is further destroying their locker room by bringing in McGee to mentor young minds.

They could just ask him to stay home. Or possibly seek a buyout. He doesn't have to collude their locker room.

We should get rid of EG's and Ryan Anderson's contracts, too.

I really want to see Goran dealt to the Heat. That would make the Eastern Conference playoffs that more interesting. Another solid team in a top-heavy conference.

This is most likely the end game. Get OKC's pick and buyout McGee.

Some teams do whatever it takes to try and get better.

    Yup.

And apparently Denver is done dealing today. So purely a cap-shedding move.
