Thread: Trade Deadline ERMEHGERD Thread

Why make moves now when we might have a new gm and head coach by July?
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

    Not 'might' more like 'will'

Man, This trade deadline might be quite active. It's probably a good thign this thread is more or less sticking to Pelicans Talk. If we were posting every little rumor or tidbit, it'd be 20 pages by now.:P

Eeeeeeeeeh. Strangely even. Only team that really could object is Phoenix. Go from losing Dragic to losing Dragic AND Isaiah Thomas.

    Pelicans get
    PG G. Dragic (expiring)
    SG G. Green (expiring)
    SG Z. Dragic
    SF R. Bullock
    PF B. Wright (expiring)

    Suns get
    PF R. Anderson
    SG E. Gordon
    SG J. Fredette

    Lineups with the trade:

    Pelicans
PG G. Dragic, T. Evans, J. Holiday (Likely Out for Season)
    SG G. Green, Q. Pondexter, Z. Dragic
    SF D. Cunningham, L. Babbit, R. Bullock, J. Salmons
    PF A. Davis, B. Wright
    C O. Asik, A. Ajinca, J. Withey

    Suns
    PG E. Bledsoe, I. Thomas, T. Ennis
    SG E. Gordon, A. Goodwin, J. Fredette
    SF P. J. Tucker, Marcus Morris, T. J. Warren
    PF Markieff Morris, R. Anderson
    C A. Len, M. Plumlee

Even if Dragic doesn't re-sign next year, we get rid of Gordon, which will give us cap room in the offseason to make moves. I don't believe Anderson is a must have player for a championship team. He is too inconsistent and not a complete player.
That's actually a pretty good trade assuming we just call it a season and feel confident that we can at least get another core player(presumably a SF) in free agency.

Something in the wind(or...someone???) is telling me that this team may not make a move....If I'm right I'd better get my own hotline. Wuggie's Psychic Sports Advice...or a just an e-fistbump would do.

Maybe no move would be the best move. I hope Douglas can produce and we get another team first hustle player and improve team chemistry even more.

Ryan Anderson seems to be the best player for the PELS to trade because teams would prefer him to Gordon. We don't need Anderson.

I'm 90% sure nothing happens at all. And like 8% sure that if something does happen, it won't be significant, like a trade of the big 6, or the "healthy" big 2. Or something that brings in an instant starter.

I've felt that all year. The trade to move Rivers and get Q-Pon was as good as we could've hoped for. We'll eventually sign Toney Douglas to a contract for the rest of the season, and focus on getting everyone healthy and see what kinda run happens.

Any move we make its gonna be so small that it won't be worth mentioning. But I don't expect anything.

He'd fit in real well here with the rest of our injured players.

Chris Broussard: Source says Miami offering two future 1st round picks for Dragic....but as of now, Sarver still being stubborn Twitter @Chris_Broussard - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.82Pp8A8Y.dpuf

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."
