Not quite... he could have had more assists had the guys made shots on some of those passes he made to open guys. Eric Gordon shot like crap. Anderson shot like crap. We got nothing from Cunningham offensively. Our bench didn't show up.

ALot of reasons we lost tonight. But again... its Monty's fault. Right?

The most overused words on Pelicansreport.com. Wrongly, I might add.

ELITE - (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.

GREAT - notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding

These words should not be used lightly

My fear is that AD made the injury worse by returning. Really hope it doesn't linger.

Reke is a bigger version of Isaiah Thomas a lot of the time. The skill is there, but something is lacking.

AD went out, and Tyreke and Ryno thought it was time to put it on their backs. Once he came back, they never got back to that ball movement offense... and we went stagnant. Despite that, Tyreke kept us in this game tonight. We needed that. Ryno is more of the problem than Tyreke

How many times does Reke kick it out to Cunningham in the corner only for him to pass up the shot. Get a shooter Dell

Nah just the main thing usually. Just saying Gordon and Anderson's play typically revolves around our success/failure this season

Dallas lost too... they're coming "back to the pack". I wonder if that ROndo trade might come back to bite them. They had good chemistry.

They gave up a lot of depth too.

I thought the off ball play was a bigger problem. We need an Arron Afflalo/Gallinari who knows how to get open and hit a quick jump shot.

We didn't match up well with them.....We need a backup PG in the worst way or at least a SG who get his own shot with the second unit. ...But, it was great to see the starters fight back and took the lead , but the lack of bench strength couldn't extend the lead or stop there bench. ...I think Dell will 86 Wolters and try to get someone else.

this loss didn't hurt too much. just one of those games where a team makes some big shots and we make some mistakes. didn't leave that bad of a taste in my mouth. maybe the thunder losing to the knicks aided that but nuggets are always tough despite their record.

just seems like all the bad or subpar teams are sue a win as the Pelicans come up on their schedule

It's not about assists. It's about negative plays and opportunity costs. The AD play epitomizes why Tyreke has an uphill battle to be a high level member of a contender.

Two plays prior to AD getting hurt, he's forced left and forces a bad shot. He had Anderson in the corner and Andersons man in no man's land. If he kicks it, maybe Anderson has the shot maybe he doesn't, but he makes Denver work.

The next offense play he finds EG for the wide open three, in rythym. Remember their packing the paint.

The next play he has EG coming open again. Remember, their packing the paint. Instead of making the play he should've made with Anderson and that was JUST successful with EG last trip, he forces the lob against a D packing the paint.

No maybe EG doesn't shoot it, but he was curling open. It's the smart play and it doesn't show up in the stats if EG doesn't shoot and make it. But, it makes his job easier because the defense has to respond to potential long range threats.

I say Tyreke is an idiot because for someone who likes to score he's horrible at setting himself up with smart plays like that draw the defense in for him to attack later. His own worst enemy.

seems to be the case... teams that can drain the 3 on a regular basis just seem to kill us... and Denver is prob. the best 1 of those teams

Our guys think they are better than they are. We have a team full of Defensive backs with short memories.

Actually, they are terrible. Fluke game for them, many of the makes were contested.

Conversely, we shot just 40% on Uncontested shots in this game, including 3-15 from Gordon and Ryno who both shot well the last two games.

It's a long season. Sometimes your team just has "One of those nights"
