I havent listened to one of our radio broadcasts in a long time, and then Friday night I was in the car a lot so that was my only way of following the game (which for healthy reasons I probably shouldn't have as it caused my blood pressure to go to unhealthy hights). But the last time I did listen there was John Deshazier, and before him we had the V Man. Who is this new guy, and what did we do to deserve an abandonment from Gerry V? That guy was amazing, and colorful.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
Victor Howell (sideline CST in Hornets days, LSU since) and Sean Kelley.
V was let go, did TV, now is on 99.5 in the mornings.

I miss Gerry V. He was everything right about broadcast radio. At least we upgraded big time on the tv front. Also, Deshaz isn't awful, but he isn't inspiring either
Which is why I wish we could get V back. Nothing against the current guy, but V-Man actually had X's and O's knowledge from his time as a coach. He was also pretty clever with his dialog.Originally Posted by luigi modelo

What happened to deshazier?
What happened to Ryan Kelly? Last game it was a one man show.
He can't really speak, which is sort of a requirement of being on the radio (any WWL "personality" excepted).
Maybe Gayle will bring back Gerry V. Miss the dude - he made the radio broadcasts fun.
Sean had a personal matter for a game. John in and out all season. Saints stuff ties him up.

Maybe he can remain out and we can petition Gerry V back. Welsey is really good for insight on TV and he spoils you when needing insight on radio.
How about we get Gerry V and someone else who really cover the Pelicans to do the pre game show on FSNOLA?
Is Victor a permanent replacement for John? Or is John D just off on assignment for superbowl or something?
I don't like Victor's voice, but he does a better color job than I've heard John do. Gives really good info, I was surprised when I heard him the other day and actually was interested in what he was saying, where John just says the obvious that we already all know.
I listen to the live cast on my nano while at the games ! Howell talks to much & to fast ! Tries to over expand & Kelley is trying to catch up ! I see Ad hit a 15 ft jumper & Howell is still yappin ! Kelley anounces the 15 ft jumper while opponent has already crossed half court ! I never thought I'd miss DeShazier, but I do ! Gerry V should BE !
