Nelson off the bench for us would be a huge improvement.

Could it be Rivers is on the move?

Q-Pon is a much better for here than Memphis. We have tons of ball handlers who can get him open for the 3. Memphis has Conley and that is basically it. His for is much better here for his style of game.

I know Boston likes him, but I think it was Stein reporting that Salmons would be going to the Celtics.

This move could also be setting up something bigger people just don't know yet. Q-Pon is still very young and his contract is a bargain to me if he plays anywhere like he was before. Definite inprovment for this team.
I totally agree....Perhaps he would help us facilitate a deal for a PG....

    O Rating - 114
    D Rating - 104

Not likely, but that is the hope.
Of course that is how I feel also and I believe the situation here is much better than the way Memphis plays ball. His oppurtunities and the 3 will be a lot better with tons of ball handlers so he can just sit back similar to what Cleveland wants to do with JR. He also gives is some versatility playing 2 positions. I just think this is a move like the Spirs would do and have some good players to round out the lineup and provide depth. I don't think he effects anything if we wanna target somebody because he is definitely moveable.

He is not even a very good 3pt shooter. His best asset is that he is a decent defender.

jameer will probably be waived if he doesn't get traded soon, so i would like to think we'd go after him

He was Memphis' longest guaranteed contract.

Funny how these things tend to go down considering next game up is against the Celtics. Hopefully Salmons doesn't burn us.

Like you said they probably going to waive Nelson, so if we want him why not just throw him in deal (obviously has to be legal trade)? Well we might not want him for some reason. But I agree with you if we were just a 3rd wheel to take on Pon you'd think it'd be done by now.

Could make some sense if the Tyreke at SF experiment is over.

In framework of proposed three-team trade, New Orleans' Russ Smith moves to Memphis, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

I miss the days where we didn't hear about the trade until it was fully completed. These little drops of info are killing me!

I should be enjoying this win!
