Homepage Improvements

I have been wondering why there are never Pelicans related articles posted to the homepage. I feel like Pelicans related articles from the TP (even though they are sometimes lame), ESPN, and maybe from the sports page of our next opponent should be included on the homepage. It would also be nice to have the team schedule included on the homepage. Are there specific reasons for this? I think that having the articles presented here could spur further discussions and analysis of the team.

I agree. I would love to see links, mini blurbs of BSS or TBW (in addition to national media), and stuff outside of tweets. I'm not sure who to talk to about it or if anyone is really in the position to update the forum, but I think those being added would be mutually beneficial to A) the website itself and B) to the people who are writing said articles.

Sorry! I've been involved in a few other companies and this has fallen by the wayside. I'm not a big fan of this version of Vbulletin (the forum software). It makes doing stuff more complicated than it needs to be. Spacing, for example doesn't function properly when I use an RSS feed to gather articles. I've had two developers look at it and neither has been able to come up with a solution.

I'm hoping that when this offseason hits I'll be able to upgrade to either a new version of vbulletin or a new software entirely. That would allow me to do a lot more stuff that presumably would improve the experience for everyone.

I actually just sent another email to the developer seeing if we can somehow just get a google news feed for "New Orleans Pelicans" on the front page, as well as an rss feed from Bourbon street shots itself.

Hopefully he'll come back with some good news.
