I liked Mekel a lot. I thought he lit a fire under Rivers butt and had the second unit humming. I honestly am shocked that it seems we are just dumping him with no intention to bring him back.
Chances are if it seems like something is about to happen, it won't. This is how it always is with us. Pelicans, like the Saints, are super lowkey and unpredictable. That's no coincidence considering that they're run by the same regime.
