I love his game. Definite "glue" guy that we need. Defend and knock down consistent mid-range jumpers.
This guy is freakin awesome! Every team needs one of these guys to be successful!

Yep. The man get's it. His role will only expand because he has a mid range jump shot that still needs fine tuning. If he can somehow develop a consistent three point shot. Watch out. It's possible.
Hopefully a Bi-Annual exception is all it will take to keep him. We can lock him up for 2 more years that way and then we will have his full bird rights.
If only he could shoot the long ball. Then I would be all for it.

We gave him another chance and he loves Monty.
Make sure there is room for Russ Smith and Jeff Withey for a longer contract before giving Dante Cunningham a longer contract.

Giving Dante Cunningham a 1-2 year deal is fine. The Pelicans have younger players who could develop to be better.
Why not? He's young, hustles his butt off, playing well, and the guys love him. He's just one of those guys all the good teams have.
Rivers is 22. AD is 21. Jrue is 24. Russ Smith is 23. Jeff Withey is 24. There are younger players who I think will be better in a few years and need to save enough money for them.
Cunningham for a short term contract of 1-2 years makes sense to me.
