Yeah, Parker comes off those screens into seemingly vast expanses of desert. Lol.
Our defense may be giving that mid-range shot to him by design though. Pick your poison but its probably better than him constantly penetrating and not only scoring anyway for himself but swinging to open teammates.

How are we measuring "impact on a game"?
There seem to be quite a few quantitative measures which would rank him near or at the top in the league so far (though obviously it's extremely early).
Jrue is pressuring TP very well and making him work. Just might have to readjust the pick and roll coverage for him.

watch the game, when parker is going ISO jrue is in front of him like a brick wall, parkers points have been off of pick n rolls and busted plays. Jrue is playing stellar defense.

I'm not saying he's not. He Jrue has been defending TP 22pts well.
I think everyone is looking at it wrong. Parker has 22 and we are still winning. We kept getting punched in the face and are still standing. That's a good thing.
3rd has been big for us this year. If anyone had told me Parker would put up 22 in the first half and we'd still be up by 2 I'd have taken it and ran.
I'm not sure Davis is better than let's say Chris Paul (since we know who he is) right now, I think Paul could do wonders with our supporting cast. I know it's hard to take off the glasses. But Davis has some flaws due to being a young player on both ends. No doubt in my mind he becomes the best player in the game. But I don't think he's as good as his stats yet. It's like Early Blake versus now Blake. Stats are similar but impact is clearly different.
I wish we could get to the line more.
Parker scoring mid range jumpers is ok. We just can't allow those wide open 3 pointers.

For me, wins is the most important factor. Everyone says x player puts up stats on a bad team. Thus far, so does AD. He has to carry this team to wins over .500 to be in the discussion IMO

I don't think its Pelican fans being biased saying that AD is maybe the 2nd or 3rd best players in the league. Go ask Dan Patrick. Go read most people's MVP polls. Those aren't Pelicans fans saying he is maybe the best or second best player. To be honest Pelican fans are probably most realistic in saying he is the 2nd or 3rd best player.
