Yeah but Elfryd Payton will be playing. I think a good chunk in attendance will be at the game for him more than they will be there to cheer on the Pelicans.
The Magic will be an interesting team to watch with all their young up and coming talent. I wonder if they will make the playoff push this year like we are expected to.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Hell, I'm rooting for Payton too. Not to win, obviously, but I want him to play well, win rookie of the year, and get a haircut.

I'm kind of bummed. Oladipo is one of my favorites and was really looking forward to seeing him in person and watching our team face him.
I highly doubt that, especially on opening night. Any Payton followers will be dwarfed by the Pelican fans.
I would doubt it too if the kid wasn't from 15 blocks from the arena and tickets were going for $10. I have a buddy from work who is going with Paytons family, and about 100 other people that they bought tickets for.
Good for him making it to the show. I hope fans show out for him on game day like they do for Kobe and Lebron.
