You are clearly missing the point.

My point is don't compare a guy barely hanging on in the NBA whose best hope is to be a journeyman backup to an all star. Just don't do it.

Someone's been going pretty hard on the haterade. Funny thing is I think that might be the sentiment of the mainstream media, regardless of how misguided

Also, that's how octopi talk. They squibber. Yes, it's a word. Shut up.

That was never done. That is the point you are missing. If I say that Jimmer is a better 3pt shooter than Lillaird, you would jump to the conclusion that I said Jimmer is better than Lillard or how dare I compare the 2

And he's probably better at spinning the ball on his finger and playing hop scotch. What difference does it make that he's a better shooter. He's is not even 50% of Lillard as a basketball player.

Well unlike spinning a ball on your finger and playing hop scotch shooting 3's is actually a part of playing the game of basketball. So it's a relevant statement if an argument is brought up about 3pt shooting. For some reason you can't grasp the fact that people talk basketball more than player x is better than player y, therefore this conversation is going no where.

Does this also apply to Gordon?
The most overused words on Pelicansreport.com. Wrongly, I might add.

ELITE - (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.

GREAT - notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding

These words should not be used lightly

I pull like hell that Gordon is awesome this year.

So he can get out of here.

I feel like rivers was overshadowed by Davis in that draft and Davis is excelling at a much fast rate then rivers and I believe that is making rivers look not as good as he actually is. I also believe that coach Williams is not giving him enough minutes with the talent we all know he has.

No, Rivers is not good. He played way too many minutes his rookie year but just about the right amount last season.

Rivers is a guy who can play lock down d, hit the 3, drive on anyone and a good passer.

Really, did he make the all star team? That sounds like a Dwayne Wade description.

Jimmer could have 0% impact on our team this season, but his name alone will be worth its weight in gold on this board. We are talking wacky knockoff names like Jummy Fredlot.
