From a guy that's watched Young for 4 years at UF, that's laughable. He CAN guard small forwards at times, he's just that versatile defensively. However, his game is obviously best suited as a PF/C combo.
Young is extremely versatile defensively, though.

When Omer gets acclimated and conditioned he will be HUGE on this team. Not even Tyson was as effective on D, RB and PnR.
Jimmer can play. Surrounding circumstances, such as coaches and teammates, have hurt his career tremendously up until this point.
He is literally the best shooter in the world, IMO.

I don't think Reid even intends to believe that you want Patric Young being used offensively like a 3.

Agreed. But have a feeling he will improve and Monty will play him more than deserved. He did arrive late in camp and can't possible be in playing shape like the other players who have been in NOLA for a month or two

Of the players on this team, the only two that I don't want to see on the floor are Salmons and Babbitt. I just hate watching them play, regardless of their actual skill and talent.
Well I'm liking Babbit a lot more than Salmons so far...
This game must be like the 3rd preseason NFL game where the coaches actually want to compete.

So far Pelicans' rotation/minutes distribution have been much more like a regular season game. Only guys 10 have played. NOLA 60-56 in 3rd
