They wouldn't be the New Orleans Pelicans if they didn't have an injury. Wishing he is going to be ready for the regular season.

He'll be fine. The time off will allow his knee to get a little stronger......

Get it out of the way? This news has put a pessimist's hat squarely on my head. I have absolutely no faith in this medical staff to keep the team injury free. Yeah, yeah, I know he wasn't under the supervision of the medical staff when his injury occurred. There may not be the same amount of injuries as last season, but if anyone thinks we'll go through the season with the the same injury-free luck as say, the Trailblazers did last season, then I've got some ocean-front property in Nebraska to sell you.

3-5 weeks seems excessive for "a strain" doesnt it?

Evans does seem to recover more quickly than most.

I reckon it's just precautionary and maybe a reason to sit him out during pre-season...
"Yeah Moe that team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked! I've seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked!"

    Frustrating.

From what exactly? Camp hasn't even started.

I'd guess the surgery from earlier in the summer.

It'll be frustrating if he don't play in preseason. The Pels need to gel as quick as they can and not wait till January to play well together.

Is it my imagination or is it always the muscular guys who pull hammies?
I think Kevin Mirallas has the answer to this question 😞

There's a solution to this problem. The remarkable ALL STAR Jrue Holiday. If he plays awesome with AD we will beat other tough teams.

Salmons can play SF. He's better than Aminu IMO. Plus Rivers will run the point and he's going to be way way better. Evans will be fine. Don't panic y'all!

I think he's gonna be ready before regular season so maybe some playing time right before opener?

Is anyone else impressed that they actually were proactive in announcing an injury and giving a timeframe?

The injury sucks but it was at a pickup game in another city. Tyreke might have even been warned to take it easy coming back from his knee surgery, we honestly don't know and can't be upset with our medical staff for this.

It is hilariously depressing to have this injury happen even before training camp.

They have learned from the past. I expect this trend to continue.

I hope we aren't lying like the USMNT. Joey admitted after the Cup that he had a tear.

Blessing in disguise. I think the offense will have more continuity without Tyreke. He is useless on offense without the ball in his hands.

I think since he is so ball dominant, when he gets injured he is out longer than others just to make sure he is healed. I hope it was just a fluke and not a guy who isn't serious in the off-season.

We want play-offs. C'mon Evans, we want now, not next season.

I tend to agree with this
The most overused words on Pelicansreport.com. Wrongly, I might add.

ELITE - (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.

GREAT - notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding

These words should not be used lightly
