    They haven't even signed him yet.
    I doubt any of these additional 3-4 players that they have recently signed will make the team anyway.

    people - apart from people from Iran - are using "Persia" as a synonym of "Iran". Internally people from Iran are using (and were using for last 2 thousands years) only word 'Iran' - they are not using word "Persia".
    the word "Persia" has got it own history, connected with the tribe from 1st Millenium BC and because of the Greek culture (Greek-Persian wars, Alexander the Great) it was taken into the classic/middle ages/modern culture.

    from 1930s Iranian diplomacy started to ask not to use world "Persia". So it was kind of international tradition and not internal...

    so ending this off-topic - it is wrong to use wor "Persia" to describe Iran. You can use it as a synonym, connected with the past of Iran (Darius the Great, Xerxes etc)
