We've talked a lot about AD, who would you trade AD for straight up?

The majority of us can agree that Davis is a superstar in the making but a few people on this site have tried to argue that he isn't really a top ten player and never will be. I personally think Davis will be considered a top 10 if not top 5 player by the end of this season. So who would you trade Davis for straight up? My list is very short:

    Lebron James and MAYBE Durant.

    No one else.

Y'all may think I'm crazy but I even hesitate to trade for Lebron at this point because I actually believe Davis will eventually be the best player in this league in terms of his overall value. I am talking like 5 years from now...

No one, for reasons you listed.

No one, will never be the scorer Durant is but will be able to change the game at both ends better than anyone other than LeBron. Then take into account LeBron will be 30 in December & it's a no brainer. Take the 21 year old without a ceiling

I wouldn't trade Davis for LeBron right now. Here is why. Bron only signed a 2 year contract, with the 2nd year being a player option. I'm not trading Davis' rookie scale, then 5-yr max, contract for that.

Great as they all are, none of them are 21 years old. 10 years from now, Lord willing, AD will be playing some of the best basketball of his career.

And in that span, LeBron and Durant will be either in the twilight of their careers if you're Durant or retired if you're LeBron.

As far as culture: work, attitude, skill & athleticism

He is this generation's Tim Duncan, but with greater athleticism.

He is a 1st ballot HOFer and will bring the Great City of NOLA it's 1st NBA title.

............so no. My answer is no.

    ......NO......

It's so odd to think of a player younger than me as "retired".

    Feeling old.......

Hell, I'm to a point where I can vividly remember things I did exactly 20 years ago. I mean 20 year annversity of the relase of Forrest Gump and Lion King? Are you kididng me? World is getting weird.

Hell, kids today don't even know what Legend of Zelda is. My brain can't even...see some kids messing around with an NES and didn't even know how to get it open.

I was thinking that AD doesn't have a very developed dribbling game and he's still a little weak, but you don't see young big men that can dribble well in this league yet. He has work to do, but he's already more game changing than any other PF and that's scary. We haven't even chewed past the grizzle and tasted the meat of his offensive game. The guy can very well have the half court offensive game of Lamarcus Aldridge, the lob catching and fast break running ability close to shawn kemp, and be a consistent DPOY candidate by the time he's 25.

I haven't seen him reach LeBron's preHeat playing level yet, but for what he offers, i have to say UNIBROW UNIBROW UNIBROW over everyone

PS- His FT shooting is already better than Lebron's

The most overused words on Pelicansreport.com. Wrongly, I might add.

ELITE - (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.

GREAT - notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding

These words should not be used lightly

Can y'all imagine what Davis is going to be able to do with Asik and Holiday on the court with him? He's going to DESTROY the other team.
