Remembered there used to be some interest in him here.

Good on him, thought he was more likely to goto the 76ers because the coach used to coach the Aus national squad. wonder how he settles in with that team.

Also, that's how octopi talk. They squibber. Yes, it's a word. Shut up.

Not sure why we would. Whether we offered a contract to him or not doesn't matter since he decided to sign with LA.

Only time will tell if his game even translates to the NBA. Same with Dario Saric.

I can still remember people talking about Rudy Fernandez as the next big Euro transfer. Didn't really work out.

I would have liked to see us give him a shot if for no other reason, our possible hole at the 3.

Wasn't Rudy's deal more mental though? He seemed to not blend in well with NBA culture and was sort of a primadonna if I remember right. Wanted to be given superstar treatment without earning it.

When would he even play? He would be fighting with Evans, Gordon, Rivers, Salmons, and Freddette.

When no one else is hitting from 3? Or are Gordon, Fredette, and Salmons our knockdown shooters?

They are. Jrue, Rivers, and Anderson, too. That's five wings that are all spot-up threats. Jimmer is the only one he would conceivably play over.

It was a little more than that if I remember right. He was a good player making good Manu type plays every now and then but he did not live up to the hype overall.

Why go to the nba and become a role player with the pay that comes with it when you're a superstar in spain and paid millions more?

Navarro understood this much sooner than fernandez

Is he paid Millions more? I couldn't find what his current contract was. The one a couple years ago was more than min in the NBA, but since then maybe it isn't a huge difference and he rather take his shot now before he gets too old.

He will also be able to go back to Euro League if it doesn't work out as an ex NBA player.
