They look recent. I remember on old vids, he had that mini-fro.

That and he looks a bit bigger on these. Not as buff as in the photo above, but still bigger than he was in old vids.

Rivers will prove people wrong. I hope he gets minutes. Give the guy one more year at least. I don't think he's a bust. He might be a better player and he looks really strong. What if he actually becomes the player he was hyped to be? I think he will stay in the league for many years.

Austin's working on his midrange game. You'll see a different Austin next season with improved mechanics as well.

A guy who can score from three, midrange and at the rim while being a plus defender and improving passer (already good at driving and dishing).

There you have it. Straight from the horses mouth.

Though, I'll be honest. If he doesn't make this leap now, 3rd year in? I'm pretty much gonna be done with him. He's seen every team and scheme several times. Things have to be clicking for him now. Which is why he's getting stronger. He can't have a lil boy's body in a grown man's game. So, so, so glad to see he's reaching maturity.

The coaches came out near the end of the season and said Austin and Reke were both staying in Nola for the offseason and work on their jumpers.

i'd agree that hard work doesn't mean you can cut it in this league, but Austin is lacking parts of the game that CAN be learned/improved. He has the height & speed to be an NBA guard, he has the great first step off a crossover. mid-range, finishing around the basket, & putting on weight are all things guys can always polish in the off-season. So in this instance i do think his hard work will allow him to be a player in this league but guys like Lance (undersized, slow) it can only get them so far

As long as the lower body is getting stronger

I wonder if his tweets are just responses to people trashing him on twitter?

The form has actually improved a lot since he was drafted.

You're judging a flaw from 3 years ago.
