I'm not reading anything into it. I like Rivers. I think it's still too early to give up on him. NOT SAYING, I'd refuse trading him for a betetr player, but I wouldn't want to trade him for nothing. Some of the guys we have in Summer League are doing well though. So who knows. All depends on what we could get for him.
But again, I'm not reading too far into it. He could just be talking about the season ahead and general unknowns.

Very true.
I cannot imagine that they would trust our backup guard to two just who haven't even played an NBA game. Not when we have a 4th guard with two years in the system and showing improvement.

Remember we could always sign a guy like Nelson if we had to. I'm not pushing for it, I'm just saying we wouldn't have to rely on Russ.
I can't imagine Nelson is only going to get minimum offers (and that is all we can offer now).

Who's knocking down his door to sign him? Also said a guy like Nelson, doesn't have to be him just throwing out options.

Lol which is funny to me because people always make the excuse for Evans playing bad, by saying it was because he was playing with inept players off the bench. But the same argument is never made for Rivers.
one has proven he can perform, the other is yet to do so. easier to argue for someone when they have shown they can do it.
Copeland is like peja, 6"10 with a great jumper. Can't do anything else and can't defend. No way would I trade rivers for him
