What's up with Rivers?

Rivers posted this on Instagram 37 minutes ago:

"New chapter for me.....not worried about what's happened. I can only control what I do next. And with the way I'm working right now, I like how the future looks...."

It goes on. Anyway, this is the second time something like this has come from Rivers. He had a cryptic tweet a few weeks ago, I think.

Is he saying he's being traded, or is he trying to wipe the stench of his first two seasons off of him (though I do give him some credit for going from god-awful in season one to better in season 2)? Passive-aggressive reaction to the Pels signing Smith to a 3 year deal?

Thoughts? Anyone hearing anything?

Cryptic tweets are probably best left unanalyzed. It could be anything from having a fight with his friends/family to moving from PS3 to XBox One. Maybe it's even a motivational technique to put a bad day of practice behind him. It's not like he tweeted "It's been fun New Orleans"

For accuracy purposes, this was posted to Instagram, not Twitter. AR25 is normally pretty deliberate with his words, so this just strikes me as odd. Nothing more, nothing less.....yet?!

Thought I'd pass this along considering how much attention Rivers has gotten in the past on these forums but it appears that Austin Rivers has been waived by the Pelicans. I've tried finding a Woj tweet, something from Chris Sheridan, anybody but a cryptic message on Rivers' instagram page detailing: "New chapter for me.....not worried about what's happened. I can a only control what I do next. And with the way I'm working right now, I like how the future looks! Hard work & God = .....anything possible" led me to start searching for an article, search the New Orleans Pelicans twitter account, etc.

No official report but it appears what many people on these boards has longed assumed to happen has finally happened. Undoubtedly he'll be picked up by someone looking to give him a shot for cheap this fall.

I was mistaken Ginsberg told me it was from Instagram that's why its a different handle. So it is him...whether it means something we will see.

We only have rivers back there though...i wouldn't trust smith to do even a decent job in 18 or so minutes if rivers was traded
