    Anthony Davis

With all this talk and debate about such a marginal piece like Salmons, I thought it would be good to talk about what really matters... Anthony Davis.

Right now, going into this season where do you guys think AD ranks in terms of best players in the league? Where do you think he'll rank by the end of the season?

Obviously the supporting cast matters, but if AD jumps into the top 5 players in the league and we just stay relatively healthy, I think the playoffs are a guarantee no matter how tough the West is. I just wanted to start a thread to talk about The Franchise, and please post any predictions, anything about his upcoming season, or really anything that's related to Anthony here! Interested to see what y'all have to say.

Once Lebron starts to decline with age we will be sitting here talking about "Who is the best player in the league: Durant, AD, or Lebron?"

I don't think we fully understand what we are witnessing but.....IT'S HAPPENING! (too lazy to insert the gif right now)

I think at the moment he's probably right on the outside of the top 10 players in the league which is absolutely incredible for someone his age. If he makes no progress from last year, I still think we have an outside shot at the playoffs. But if he continues his development like I think he will and starts to realize that he can take over games at both ends of the court, then I think we can make a strong push for a 6-7 seed and scare the living hell out of whoever plays us in the first round.

Did CP3 get to train with the Olympic team/coaches every year like AD has?

IMHO Anthony Davis is 10 right now! But, if he has a whole year like the second half last year, top 5 all day!!!

    1 LBJ
    2 KD
    3 CP3
    4 Kevin Love
    5 Stephen Curry
    6 Carmello Anyhony
    7 Blake Griffin
    8 James Hardin
    9 Derek Rose (healthy)
    10 Anthony Davis

I think who should be ranked higher Davis or Griffin would be a good debate.

Davis. I feel like Griffin is very over-rated.

I agree with both of you. But I feel there are people who would say Griffin.

I think Griffin has definitely improved, but I think AD will definitely be better by the end of the year, if not before. I also wouldn't have Melo in my top ten.

    I will explain by numbers!
    PLAYER (Per.) (VA) (EWA)
    James Harden, HOU ( 23.51) (539.2) (18.0)
    Paul George, IND. (20.16) (417) (13.9)

When you look at what Griffin does, he is the very best at it. Porblem is all he does is really dunk. I will say the he does sometimes draws attention and often gets the "star" foul from the ref's, but I agree, over-rated isn't too harsh a term.

edit: Reports are that Davis is up to 237lbs. as his body matures, and the refs start to give him the same latitudes they give to players like Kobe, Griffin, Anthony, etc.(i.e. once opposing teams know they can't simply jam the lane and rough him up w/o getting a foul called) you will see Davis' star explode. I still don't think he's scratched the surface of how great he will become, and the proof is in the comments from the players he's played with, especially team USA. They know greatness when they are around it.. the ole "It takes one, to know one".....

By the end of the year I believe Davis will be the 2nd best player in the world.

Within 5 he will be the best

You think he will surpass KD this year? That's a little extreme. I'd say if he makes a leap similar to the one he made last year, he could finish this season a top 5 player in the league. Right now I would say he is in the top 10. I'd have him at 7 or 8.
